Hématomes Éditions is a Liège-based publishing house founded in 2021, affiliated with the graphic design studio NNstudio. It defines itself as an unconventional space where the book — in its broadest sense — is the very raison d’être. Its publications focus on alternative critical writing and art research, bringing to life projects in which form and content are inseparable. The catalogue brings together artists’ books with unique worlds, blending drawing, photography and experimental text. A demanding editorial practice, where the book asserts itself as an autonomous territory of creation.
In 2024, a publishing partnership was established with two publishers: GAR — Archives d’architecture, which publishes the Archidoc collection, and the non-profit organisation urbAgora, which publishes the magazine Dérivations. This partnership involves the sale of their publications on the Hématomes website, as well as joint efforts to promote and distribute their respective catalogues.
