Maxence Mathieu, 1992, vit et travaille \u00e0 Bruxelles et Charleroi.
\nLa pens\u00e9e agit dans le travail artistique de Maxence Mathieu comme un mat\u00e9riau en tant que tel. Les espaces fictifs (r\u00eaves, songes, jeux d\u2019acteurs, projections mentales, espaces num\u00e9riques,\u2026) se confondent avec les espaces dits \u201cr\u00e9els\u201c. Cette mise en ab\u00eeme, caract\u00e8re fondamental de sa d\u00e9marche, engendre de nouvelles r\u00e9alit\u00e9s ou nouveaux mondes. Ses propositions spatiales (installations, sculptures, protocoles, dessins, photos, \u2026) agissent comme des perturbateurs cognitifs et mentaux de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e9tablie.
\nIl pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l’Eden une tapisserie monumentale sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour le lieu. Par \u00ab effet contraste \u00bb, c\u2019est l\u2019espace social de la brasserie qui deviendra le sujet artistique principal de son intervention.<\/p>\n
